Fantasy and Beyond

Suggested donation: $25. A fundraising effort, all proceeds will go to building our educational efforts and bringing high quality programming to Franklin County. Doug is donating his fee, so please give generously!

Douglas McNames breathes life into the music he plays with insights well-earned from a remarkable career. Whether performing a baroque concerto by C.P.E. Bach in full period style with The Wallfisch Band, middle Beethoven with the Delos string quartet, Ein Heldenleben on tour with the Philadelphia Orchestra, or a solo performance of a living composer, Doug’s bow arm, hearing, and musical intelligence have offered audiences great music in good hands. Besides teaching music, he also enjoys teaching golf, driving a vintage MG race car that occasionally runs, and holding forth on gunsmithing, dart throwing, baseball, tennis, NASCAR, and the dearth of common sense in politics and life to anyone who will listen.
